My Story
Born and raised in central Arkansas, I now live in Benton. I attended Bryant Schools through my sophomore year and then was selected to attend the Arkansas School for Mathematics and Sciences. I studied at the University of Central Arkansas for two years and finished my degree in journalism from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville. Prior to joining the Taylor team, my career in journalism included the following:
Copyeditor/Page Designer, The Morning News of Northwest Arkansas
Razorback
Yearbook Co-Editor & Student Life Editor, University of Arkansas
Arkansas Traveler
Reporter and Special Sections Editor, University of Arkansas
Scroll
Yearbook Staff, University of Central Arkansas
Yearbook Editor, Arkansas School for Mathematics & Sciences, 2 years
Yearbook production is becoming more technology-dependent each year. I am proficient in InDesign, Photoshop, PageMaker, QuarkXPress and many other software programs you may find useful in your yearbook production process. I can help you train your staff and keep you current on changing technology.
I was a rep with Taylor for seven years. I have always had a passion for yearbooks, but never did I dream yearbooks would be my career. While I loved being a yearbook rep, I've now been given an opportunity to do something different and spend a lot more time with my family! I'll be working at my church and kids' school doing web design, other marketing and promotions, the yearbook (of course) and computer classes. I don't know all the details of what God has planned next for me, but I do know that it will be a great adventure!
